With
Thanksgiving just around the corner, and National Gratitude Month in full
swing, now is the perfect time to sit back and reflect on all of the things
we’re grateful for. At Community Financial, we’re grateful for a lot of things:
our friends, family members, the roofs over our heads and the amazing people we
get to interact with each day through our work.
As
we get older and learn new things, however, it’s a good idea to think of new
ways to show our gratitude. Looking for new ways to show your gratitude?
1.
Make a List
The
best way to get started is to make a list of the things in your life that you
cherish and appreciate. You never know until you start just how many things
you’re grateful for!
2.
Think About the Little
Things
Nothing
is too small when it comes to gratitude. What about the person who shared their
umbrella with you when you forgot yours at home? Or the ability to buy new
socks when you’re old ones wear out? Challenge yourself to think about the
things you don’t normally focus on during the day.
3.
Spend the Time
Do
you have a friend who lives out of state? Take five minutes to send them a text
or email to check-up on them. Do you have a coworker you haven’t talked to
lately? Set up a day next week to have lunch with them. One of the most
powerful ways to show our gratitude is just by taking the time out of our day
to spend with others.
4.
Speak Up
One
of the most over-looked ways of expressing gratitude is to actually put it into
words. Imagine how amazing it would feel to have someone tell you that they’re
grateful for everything you do. Be the reason someone else smiles today by
telling them you’re grateful for what they do.

special this month to celebrate National Gratitude Month? Share the ways you
show your gratitude in the comments!
